Privacy policy

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect information submitted to Silver Financial Management Limited (trading as “Silver Financial”).

Silver Financial Management Limited (trading as “Silver Financial”, “we”, “us”, “our” and “ours”) is a firm of chartered accountants. We are registered in England and Wales as a limited company under number 09592587 and our registered office is at The Dock Hub, Wilbury Villas, Hove, BN3 6AH.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation and this notice we are the ‘data controller’. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you.   • You request a proposal from us in respect of the services we provide.
  • You or your employer or our clients engage us to provide our services and also during the provision of those services.

The information we hold about you may include the following:

  • For our professional services, the information collected may relate to your personal and financial circumstances for us to provide the service that we have been engaged to undertake. For example, we may record your name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, unique tax reference, national insurance number, bank account details, data in relation to your personal taxation circumstances, data regarding your business activities, etc.
  • Details of contact we have had with you in relation to the provision or the proposed provision of our services.
  • Details of any services you have received from us.
  • Our correspondence and communications with you.
  • Information about any complaints and enquiries you make to us.
  • Information we receive from other sources such as publicly available information.

How we use personal data we hold about you

We may process your personal data for purposes necessary for the performance of our contract with you or your employer or our clients and to comply with our legal obligations.

  • Prevent and detect crime, fraud or corruption.
  • For operational reasons, such as recording transactions, training and quality control and ensuring the confidentiality of commercially sensitive information.
  • Provide you with information related to our services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, provided you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • Seek your thoughts and opinions on the services we provide.
  • Notify you about any changes to our services.

In some circumstances we may anonymise or pseudonymise the personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use it without further notice to you.

If you refuse to provide us with certain information when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have entered into with you. Alternatively, we may be unable to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations.

We may also process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in accordance with this notice, where we are legally required or permitted to do so.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected.

Transferring personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

We may use service providers based outside of the EEA to help us provide our website, applications and services to you (for example, platform providers who help us deliver our applications and services) and this means that we may transfer your information to service providers outside the EEA for the purpose of providing our applications and services to you.

Where your information is transferred outside of the EEA by our service providers and hosting providers, appropriate measures and controls are in place to protect that information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.

Data security

We have put in place commercially reasonable and appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Right to withdraw consent
